Big George Boxing in Iowa City is home to Coach George Chamberlain, a figure who has been part of Iowa boxing for decades. George runs the University of Iowa Boxing Club and has served as President of the National Collegiate Boxing Association for more than 30 years, giving him a unique place in the history of the sport. Front Range Boxing in Boulder has been a pillar of Colorado boxing for more than three decades, founded by Coach Dave Gaudette, a former New England champion who once trained under Goodie Petronelli alongside Marvelous Marvin Hagler. Known for its gritty, no-frills atmosphere, the gym has produced disciplined fighters year after year while staying true to the traditions of the sport. Today, Dave is joined by Coach Johnny Argrow, who came up through Front Range and returned after competing and coaching nationally, bringing a fresh edge to the program while maintaining its old-school foundation.
